First off let me just say I am Nokia cell phone person. I have been waiting for close to a year for Nokia to release their first Android Smart Phone, and they decide to go Windows only. So sorry Nokia, like the millions of others who have now made Samsung the largest Smart Phone retailer, after 10 years of loyal service I have left Nokia and joined the masses with my lovely Galaxy Wonder.

The main reason for the purchase was the price vs. feature content. At the moment this unit is selling for $100 more than what I paid when I got it a month ago. (And it is currently out of stock at the moment.) There was nothing close to this kind of hardware for the money (under $300) which was my max budget for a phone.

So far it has been a learning process being new to Android. Getting used to the OS aside the phone itself so far has been great. Nice sleek styling. Not too big like the Galaxy S and those large HTCs, but those are way out of my league price wise anyways, as I needed an unlocked phone to use anywhere. Comes with basically everything you need I would say and then some. And if there is anything left out there is the Android Market a click away.

The only thing I have noticed is that the battery is not as great under heavy usage, but then again what modern Smart Phone is. Figure on charging at least once a day. Or just hook it up to the computer while you are in front of it. And that will keep it ready for you at all times.

Final thoughts... there are bigger more powerful units out there, but for the price, this one is pretty darn good.

Everyone needs to realize the price of this phone is average for a brand new phone that's unsubsidized. I paid this much for my Nexus One when it came out. You have an option here, either you can buy it from Verizon for $199.99 with a 2 year contract and only be able to use it on verizon (Not bad if you're already with verizon) however if you want to use this phone with AT&T or T-Mobile then you will have to buy the GSM unlocked version which is unsubsidized. The benefit of this is you can use it on any carrier that has the correct bandwidths (Pretty much an GSM carrier) in any country. So if you're with AT&T now, you can buy the phone, have full data service but later if your decide to go to T-Mobile you can take your phone with you, exchange sim cards and ta-da...your phone works again, with full 4G data service on T-Mobile as well.

So, there's a plus side and down side to both. You can make the choice, but don't rate the phone poorly because you don't think it's a good deal because you can get it cheaper by being put under contract.
